It’s the first time the den is hosting, and we have to defend it.

The Lady Jaguars open their playoff campaign today against the Miracle Eaglets, and it could not be on a more meaningful stage—our very own Den in Kira. This is the first playoff game ever hosted on our home court, and that alone makes victory non-negotiable. The court has been with us through every practice, every drill, and every preparation session. The players know every inch of it, and today it is time to defend home territory and claim Game One.
There are more reasons why this win matters. Statistically, the Lady Jaguars are in a much stronger position than last season. We have improved our record, finished higher in the standings, and strengthened the roster. The numbers back us, and even betting odds on BetPawa reflect that advantage.
But beyond numbers and odds, the heart of this team lies in the work we have put in. No side in the WNBL has invested more time, effort, and resources than the Lady Jaguars. Respecting that commitment means stepping onto the court ready to execute at the highest level. This team is no longer defined by defense alone. We now carry offensive weapons capable of deciding games, making us a double-edged force.
The quarterfinals are the foundation for what is to come. The semifinals will be tougher and more demanding, but we must begin by setting the right tone today. The Lady Jaguars believe they are the best team in the WNBL, and it is time to show that aura on the floor.
Tip-off is at 2:00 PM at the Den in Kira. For those joining us, Google Maps directions are already shared, but the simplest landmark is Makerere College A campus—just around the corner from the Den.
