Not only did the White Jaguars blow the KCCA Leopards out of the jungle, but they also officially renounced KCCA Leopards as a hot rival worth much attention🥱. I mean even when they had all reasons to avenge themselves they just couldn’t get the best out of the white Jaguars. Star guard Rhoda Naggita led the team with 13 points, nine of which came from the free throw line. She also recorded four rebounds and five assists. Mercy Batamuliza finished with nine points and a phenomenal 22 rebounds. Brenda Kayaga added 10 points, followed by Annet Among, who had seven points in 16 minutes. The Lady Jaguars then advanced to the semifinals of the WNBL playoffs after a 53-49 victory over the KCCA Leopards last night.

The White Jaguars had to come back from a 16-point deficit in the second half, trailing 33-19 at one point when fans had begun losing hope. After taking the lead early in the final quarter, the White Jaguars cruised to a 53-49 victory, marking one of their largest comebacks this season to complete a two-game sweep. The team had a 26% FG with 60 rebounds in total to see that the Leopards had a rough time in the game. This was the 3rd straight win for the jaguars against the leopards and yet the lady jaguars still have more to showcase.
Coach Sudi was impressed with the teamwork exhibited on the court. When asked what the magic bullet for the Lady Jaguars was, Coach Sudi chuckled and said, “We had to change strategy. We played a pressure game which worked in the first game but realized it wouldn’t work this time, so we switched to playing zone, which I guess they were not prepared for.” We saw a super interchange of defense and offense as the team put up a fight to challenge their opponents.

Sadly, Mary Priscilla is reported to have twisted her ankle, but reports indicate that her condition is not critical, and she is expected to return to form soon. “I checked on her this morning and she is not as critical as you may think. She is getting better and we shall have her back once all is good.”

Up next is a tougher challenge against the defending champions, the JKL Dolphins. This is a matchup you wouldn’t want to miss. It’s now our true league, a true rival, and a challenge worth fighting for. Coach Sudi said, “We need to put in more work, more energy, and more effort. JKL is a tougher team, and we need to be ready. But until then, please let us enjoy our win as we prepare for the challenge ahead.”
The five-game series is set to kick off soon. Stay with us as we keep up with the White Jaguars.
