The Kira Lady Jaguars are on the brink of another WNBL Finals appearance after defeating the Magic Stormers 74-64 in Game 2 of the semi-final series. With the victory, the Lady Jaguars now hold a commanding 2-0 series lead and are just one win away from punching their ticket to the Finals.

It was another complete team performance, with Maimuna Nabbosa leading the way with 15 points. Mary Priscilla delivered a huge lift off the bench with 13 points, while Brenda and Shakira added 10 points apiece as the ladies once again showcased their offensive depth.

For the Stormers, Ajah Kur finished with a game-high 20 points and Susan Eden added 13, but no other player reached double figures, leaving the visitors without enough offensive firepower to keep pace.

The Lady Jaguars set the tone from the opening tip and never looked back in the first half. Their defense was suffocating, forcing difficult possessions and limiting the Stormers’ scoring opportunities, while the offense moved the ball efficiently and converted consistently. The bench, led by Mary Priscilla, provided a significant spark on both ends of the floor, maintaining the team’s intensity while extending the advantage.

The second half, however, told a different story despite the win.

momentum shifted after halftime as the Magic Stormers introduced a half-court press that disrupted the Jaguars’ offensive rhythm. The adjustment proved effective, holding the Lady Jaguars to just 23 second-half points—the same total the Stormers managed in the entire first half. Meanwhile, the Stormers found renewed confidence offensively, pouring in 41 points after the break.

Defensively, the Lady Jaguars lost some of the discipline that had defined their first-half performance, allowing Ajah Kur greater freedom to attack and ignite the Stormers’ comeback effort.

Despite the late fightback, the damage had already been done. The Lady Jaguars’ dominant first-half display provided enough breathing room to weather the Stormers’ surge and comfortably seal a 74-64 victory.

With a 2-0 series lead, the Lady Jaguars now stand just one win away from booking their place in the WNBL Finals.
