Head Coach Sudi Ulanga has methodically crafted the JT Jaguars into a team with lasting potential, one powered by a balance of talent and character, bound by discipline. Despite his modesty, Sudi’s vision for the club is clear: the Jaguars aim not just to compete, but to succeed sustainably. Reflecting on the past season, Sudi is clearly pleased. “Our ladies’ team moved from 4th to 3rd, and the gents secured the first round of playoffs,” he explained. But he isn’t resting on his laurels. “Next season, our sights are set higher—finals for the ladies and semi-finals for the gents.”

During a recent practice, Sudi shared what he sees as the defining trait in every player he selects: DISCIPLINE. “Talent alone won’t get you anywhere,” he stated. “Without discipline and consistency off the court, you’ll never reach your potential.  “Without discipline, you simply don’t belong on this team and that’s non-negotiable for us.”

Though the JT Jaguars have the financial resources to recruit top players, Coach Sudi prefers a different approach. (Even without Financial Fair Play restrictions that took Manchester City to court), we won’t just sign big names. We’re committed to nurturing talent from within. “Expect the same young players back next season with may be one or two new signings. They’ll grow, they’ll adapt, they’ll execute.”

Echoing Sudi’s philosophy, the club president JT Nyangena highlighted that the JT Jaguars’ progress is no accident. “Every achievement is part of our plan. We’re here not by mistake.”

Sudi’s emphasis on mentality is reshaping the team’s culture. “Nothing beats attitude,” he declared. “Without the right mindset, you’ll struggle in everything. That’s the energy we’re bringing into next season.”
