For the Magic, Aja Kur tried to keep her side afloat with 12 points, but it wasn’t nearly enough as Adong Daphine and Christine Nakito only combined for 12 points, yet the Stormers struggled to find consistent offensive rhythm.

The game was never particularly close. The Lady Jaguars dominated from the opening tip, limiting the Magic to just one basket until the final two minutes of the first quarter, when Daphine Adong finally broke through. The lady Jaguars surged ahead with a 20-8 lead after the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Sarah Ageno gave the Lady Jaguars an early boost with a quick basket. Aja Kur responded aggressively for the Magic, scoring 8 of their 9 points in that stretch. Still, her efforts couldn’t close the gap. Batamuliza and Sandra Wangeshi took control, stretching the Jaguars’ lead heading into halftime at 36-17.

The third quarter brought a worrying moment when Sarah Ageno went for an offensive rebound and fell awkwardly on her wrist after being fouled. She had played for 19 minutes and 47 seconds and had contributed 4 points by then. She left the game in pain, though team medic Musawo Hellen later confirmed that she is out of danger.

By the fourth quarter, the Magic Stormers looked deflated. They missed open shots, were sluggish on defense, and couldn’t keep pace as the Lady Jaguars closed out the win with ease.

For the game, the magic stormers finished with  22 turnovers which led to 18 Jaguar points. The lady Jaguars now lead the series 1-0 after a strong showing. Mercy Batamuliza finished with 17points and 15 rebounds in the game. Shakira contributed  16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.
