This is the Second last game of the season to the playoffs, we ought to take it with atmost importance
Kira — The Lady Jaguars are currently sitting third on the table with only four losses, the rest being wins. Today, they face the Magic Stormers in what will be their penultimate game of the season, before wrapping things up against Nabisunsa.
It’s been a week now since the team fell to the Lady Canons, and there’s no denying how much that loss stung. After a long run of dominance, UCU finally got their revenge, and for the first time in a while, the Jaguars had to walk off the court on the losing end of that rivalry. That one hurt. But we took the loss, and as far as we’re concerned, we’ve run out of losses to hand out. From here on out, it’s about turning the page and locking in for the playoffs.
According to the Jaguars’ assistant coach, everyone on the team is a go for today’s clash, which tips off at noon at YMCA Wandegeya. The last time these two teams met, the Jaguars came out on top with a 64–48 win. Sarah Ageno was the centerpiece of that victory, delivering a dominant double-double performance with 20 points and 23 rebounds.
However, Sarah has missed a couple of games recently due to injury and remains questionable for today’s matchup. If she is unable to suit up, the responsibility of controlling the glass will fall to Mercy, who must step up against the Stormers’ size and physicality in the paint.
Offensively, the Jaguars must fire on all cylinders from the moment the ball is tossed in the air. The forwards will need to be sharp and ready to deliver as expected. More than just the result, this game will reveal how prepared the team truly is heading into the playoffs. As we have always stressed, it’s not just about winning, it’s about how well they execute on the court. Clean execution, smart reads, and playing together—that’s what matters most as the postseason approaches. The W starts now, let’s go Jaguars
