My name is Cristian George Okello. I’m a combo guard, born in Soroti and raised in Kampala. Basketball has been a part of my journey for as long as I can remember. Most recently, I had the opportunity to play for the Derbyshire Arrows for a year—an experience that challenged me and shaped me as a player. Before that, my university years at Nottingham Trent University were unforgettable: I won a championship, helped secure promotion as second team captain, and earned a varsity medal as a member of the Men’s First Team.

I am excited to join the JT Jaguars. I have been following them closely; they had a good run last season, finishing 2nd in the regular season and narrowly losing in the quarterfinals to one of the eventual finalists. I believe I can bring something extra—something that helps push the team further—and I’m thrilled to be part of that journey.

I have also known Coach Sudi for quite some time. When I was younger, I would go watch his games, and eventually, I had the chance to play against him as I grew up. Now, to be part of his plans and the team’s vision is truly special.

For me, winning games goes beyond points on the board. It’s about communication, having a next-play mentality, and trusting in the work you’ve put in through your individual routine and training. Confidence is earned in the hours you dedicate to improving yourself, and that’s the mindset I carry with me every time I step on the court.

To the fans, I want to say I am really excited for this opportunity. My goal is to integrate quickly, bring a high standard of hard work and professionalism, and do everything I can to help the team win.
So help me God.
