After destroying the KCCA Panthers their last matchup, the JT Jaguars continued their quest against their old time friend Livingstone. On the road once again, the Jaguars cruised to an 85-52 win, their fourth straight triumph over Livingstone.
Kevin Moru led the way for the Jaguars in this game with 12 points on a 4-10 shooting but this game was dominated by Peter Sifuma. Sifuma had a double-double last night with 23 points and a career high 16 rebounds despite the towering pillars like Diopa and Isaac. The JT Jaguars as a whole crushed the rounding battle as they out rebounded livinstone 37-60 which was a big reason for their success.
The game began with a trademark early bucket from Were Mark, who sparked a 15-0 run for the Jaguars. Livingstone didn’t score until Diopa Durocher made a layup at the 3:15 mark of the first quarter. The Jaguars’ defense was relentless, holding Livingstone to just 7 points in the quarter, which ended 22-7 in favor of JT. Offensively, the Jaguars shot 59.8% from the field and 50% from three, while collecting 15 rebounds. The Jaguars had a great shooting first quarter going 59.8% from the field and 50% from three while also dominating the boards with 15 rebounds.

An interesting note at the start of the second quarter was that both Peter Sifuma and Duncan Lubwama began on the bench. The Jaguars opened with a lineup of Aaron, Kevin, Tong, Kasasa, and Elijah. However, this unit struggled offensively, entering a slow and inefficient stretch marked by missed shots and careless turnovers. Capitalizing on the sloppiness, Dickson Asiku led Livingstone on a 22-8 run that cut the Jaguars’ lead down to just 8 points with two minutes left in the quarter.
JT shot just 21.3% from the field during this period, converting only 3 of 14 attempts and going 2-for-5 from beyond the arc. The one bright spot was their ability to hold firm on defense and maintain a double-digit cushion. When the starters returned, they stabilized the defense but couldn’t fully revive the offense. The quarter ended with the Jaguars still ahead, 36-25.

Sifuma re-entered the game with a thunderous dunk to open the second half and went on a personal scoring run, notching the Jaguars’ first 9 points in just four minutes. Kevin Moru then found his rhythm, drilling three straight three-pointers for 9 more points, helping the Jaguars break away again. JT closed the third quarter with a 62-40 lead.
The fourth quarter was all Jaguars. They forced multiple turnovers and converted them into fast break points, while Livingstone’s offense completely unraveled. The Jaguars stretched the lead to as many as 33 points as they played with confidence and flair. When the final buzzer sounded, it was 85-52—a statement win.
The Jaguars now look ahead to their next matchup against the UCU Canons tomorrow at YMCA.
