Hope is a dangerous thing, it was the same thing that killed the Titans, they led throughout the entire game until the 4th quarter where were limited to a bucket, and just like it was over for them. By Jhns | 10, Aug, 2025 | 8:30 EAT

For a while, the Titans led us from quarter one to three, and they felt confident they could win the game. I’ll give credit where it’s due — they played well. Yet Chol had this to say:

“It was kinda our fault in the first three quarters. We entered the game without urgency, thinking we could easily win, which turned out not to be the case. We undermined them, and that won’t happen against any team ever again.”

The Jaguars’ offense was slow, while Akok and Hony Kwani were firing from the 3 and 2 with ease — not forgetting the midcourt 3-pointer by Hony Kwani to end the half.

All, however, changed in the last quarter. The JT Jaguars executed their best defensive stunt of the season, limiting the Titans to only a single bucket in the quarter.

“We realized they were so good individually, so we had to take out their scoring machines (Hon and Akok) to limit their scoring — and it worked,” said George William Agassi.

In the same quarter, the Jaguars launched a 3-point barrage from Chol, Kevin, and Lubwama to extend their lead even further.

Just like that, we closed out a 4-game winning streak — our best finish since joining the league last year. It’s been quite a journey. Midway through the second round, we were 9th after losing three straight. With four games left, we took them one by one: Oilers, Rockets, Sommet, and now the Titans.

“We play as a team, and it’s the small details we pay attention to,” says Aaron Eboyu.

The JT Jaguars seat in the 2nd position with 14 wins and only 8 losses in 22 games. As the second seed, they will play the 7th seed which are the Oilers come playoffs. We will talk about this match up in our next article but as for now, let’s enjoy the win 💃
