With JKL lady dolphins swimming with only one loss this season so far, the pressure is on for the white jaguars to step up their game and find the way back after their previous defeat last round.
Coach Sudi Ulanga expressed confidence in his team’s ability to perform better this time around, citing improvements they’ve made since their last encounter with JKL lady dolphins, “We keep getting better with every game we play” he affirmed
He also emphasized the presence of Sarah Ageno, a key player whose absence due to injury was sorely felt in their previous encounter. Ageno’s return adds depth and strength to the team, especially on the defensive end where she, alongside Mercy Batamuliza and Annet Among, has been instrumental in shutting down opponents.
Speaking of defense, Assistant Coach Curthert emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong defensive presence. “It’s crucial to maintain a strong defense because each defensive rebound presents an opportunity to score another basket”. he stressed. Last time, JKL lady dolphins scored about 30 points from the paint, which was very damaging to the team. This needs to change come Friday.

While the status of injured player Sandra Wangeshi remains uncertain, Coach Sudi remains hopeful for her return to the court. “We are still monitoring to see whether she will be ready, and hopefully she will be on court come tomorrow,” he stated. Wangeshi’s potential return would further bolster the Lady Jaguars’ lineup and increase their chances of victory.
But it’s not just defense that the white Jaguars are banking on, they are also looking to their offensive weapons to make an impact in the game. Speedstar Ruth Letaru’s ability to drive to the hoop, coupled with the forward runs of Mambo Maimuna and Mary Priscilla, will be key in breaking down JKL’s defense and putting points on the board.
Stay tuned as the White Jaguars go for gold.
