If there is one thing the KCCA Leopards have done, it is give the Magic Stormers hope that they, too, can force a Game 4. However, hope can sometimes be dangerous.
Tonight, the Kira Lady Jaguars will look to take care of business and complete a series sweep against the Magic Stormers in what has largely been a one-sided semifinal matchup. The Lady Jaguars hold a 2–0 series lead heading into Game 3, which tips off at 7:00 p.m. at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.
Game 2 was a mixture of positives and areas for improvement. The Lady Jaguars delivered an impressive first-half performance, but they nearly surrendered their advantage during the second half. That is where the Magic Stormers will look to capitalize as they fight to keep their season alive.
Speaking ahead of Game 3, Assistant Coach Curthbert emphasized the team’s preparation and focus:
“We have prepared for this game, and we are not taking anything lightly. We know they will use a full-court press, but we are ready for it. We have trained for it, and we should be able to get the job done today.”
The Lady Jaguars must start aggressively, remain disciplined, and maintain their intensity and consistency throughout all four quarters. Their ability to control the paint and limit the influence of Ajah Kur could prove decisive.
But surely, with their defensive firepower and the mismatches available across the floor, the Lady Jaguars have every opportunity to close out the series tonight.
See you at the Lugogo Indoor Arena at 7:00 p.m.
