Coach Sudi Ulanga once said “attitude is everything“ By Jhns | 4 August 2025 | 23:50 EAT

The regular season has boiled down to one final, defining weekend — and for the JT Jaguars, it’s about ending the regular season with the right attitude.

The Lady Jaguars already have their fate sealed: they’re locked in for a best-of-three quarterfinal series against the Magic Stormers. But before the playoffs begin, they’ll close their regular season campaign against Nabisunsa this Saturday at YMCA.

On the men’s side, however, the story is still unfolding. They’ve climbed swiftly from position 9 to 5, with one game left — a chance to take the number 2 seed. They will need to go up against the Titans in order to secure that spot. A win seals their 2nd place finish and a date with the yet-to-be-confirmed 7th seed. A loss, on the other hand, opens up uncertainty — which I can’t even imagine writing about.

“Tell me anything that doesn’t require the right attitude in this world. Nothing,” he says.

“Attitude is what drives us to achieve whatever goals we have. Without the right attitude, you can’t win games — or anything in life. Because attitude is everything.”

And that mindset has been evident in the Jaguars’ recent four-game stretch, where they’ve taken down three teams — including the so called heavyweights like Sommet BC.
“ we knew we were at a bad spot at the beginning of the 4 game stretch, we had to regroup and trace back where we came from in order to get ourselves back up, and we did just that” says Kevin. He added “ it hasn’t been an easy journey, but nothing comes easy, we need to deliver and I am happy the team responded positively”.
“I can assure you, the energy isn’t stopping anytime soon, we shall keep on playing better until we achieve our goals or even more” Were Mark “ when asked about what he thinks about Agassi’s performance of late, he said, “man Agassi has always delivered, it’s like he is repaying all the lost time he wasn’t with us, I think he is doing just fine and it’s so much a pleasure having him on board again”.
Either way, we have to play the Titans like we are already in the playoffs, so a win won’t matter that much without good execution.

The games will happen on Saturday at YMCA which will also double as the last game of the regular season. See you then
