From JT Jaguars BBC to Kira Jaguars BBC

KAMPALA, UGANDA — Today, management of the Jaguars Basketball Club officially announces the rebranding of its franchise from JT Jaguars BBC to Kira Jaguars BBC.

This milestone transformation coincides with the club’s 5-year anniversary and comes as the team prepares for the highly anticipated Season 2 of the Kira 8 tournament.

The decision to rebrand represents a strategic evolution for the franchise.

By anchoring the team’s identity in Kira, the club aims to foster a deeper connection with its local fan base, strengthen community-led sports structures, and build a sustainable basketball ecosystem that provides a platform for both elite and emerging talent.

Speaking on the transition, the club’s executive management noted:
”Kira Jaguars is more than a name change; it is a statement of our long-term ambition.
Over the past five years, we have built a fierce, competitive foundation. This next chapter is about growth, taking ownership of our home, and ensuring our players, fans, and partners feel a shared sense of pride every time we take the court.“

The transition will take effect at the seasons end across all official communication channels, team merchandise, and upcoming league representations for both the men’s and women’s teams.

Management wishes to express its profound gratitude to the players for their unwavering discipline and sacrifice, and to the fans and stakeholders whose loyalty remains the heartbeat of the Den.

The transition will take effect at the conclusion of the current season across all official communication channels, team merchandise, digital platforms, and future league representations for both the men’s and women’s teams.
