On October 9th, 2025, the JT Lady Jaguars made history — punching their first-ever ticket to the WNBL Finals after sweeping through both their quarterfinal and semifinal opponents. It’s been a season of resilience, teamwork, and redemption.

Now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here.

This Friday, the Lady Jaguars go head-to-head with their long-time rivals, the JKL Dolphins — a powerhouse that has dominated the league with four championships and finished first this regular season. The Dolphins are no strangers to the spotlight. In fact, they ended the Jaguars’ playoff run last year in the semifinals — a loss that left a lasting mark. But this time, the Jaguars are back, stronger, hungrier, and ready to finish what they started.

Interestingly, these two teams split their meetings this season — the Lady Jaguars took the season opener, and the Dolphins returned the favor in Round 2. Now, it’s 1–1 heading into the Finals. The perfect tie-breaker. The perfect stage.

What to Expect

1. Brenda is About to Catch Fire 🔥

Brenda’s season has had its ups and downs, but when it’s mattered most — she’s shown up big. Her playoff performances have been a reminder of just how lethal she can be from deep. Her confidence is back, her form looks pure, and if her recent trajectory is anything to go by, she’s about to light up the Finals from the three-point line so Expect fireworks.

2. Explosive Energy from the Point Guards ⚡

There’s something special about watching Shakira and Rhoda Nagitta run the floor. Their explosive style sets the tempo, their physicality sets the tone. In games like this, point guards become the engine — the spark that drives everything. If they dictate pace early and keep the intensity high, the Lady Jaguars will have the upper hand from the jump.

3. Mercy Will need help at the Center 🏀

Every team needs an anchor — and Mercy has been exactly that. Her consistency, discipline, and leadership in the paint have carried this team through tough battles. But the Finals will test everything. The paint will be a war zone, and Mercy can’t hold it down alone. Bai Sangare’s minutes will be crucial in giving her breathers, while the rest of the team must lock in on help defense. Win the battle in the paint — and the game could be ours.

Until tip-off, all that matters is staying healthy, focused, and ready. The stage is set. The lights are bright. And the Lady Jaguars have never been this close to glory.
