After a double-digit loss in the regular season, the JT Jaguars narrowed the gap to a single-digit “9” loss in Game 1, off the playoffs showing that the Titans can be beaten just like any other regular team. Now, the JT Jaguars are determined to blow out the Titans in the competitive spirit of basketball.

The Black Jaguars have been in this position before and know how to respond. The vibe after the 51-60 Game 1 loss to the Titans has intensified the stakes between the two teams. Despite facing title contenders, the Black Jaguars’ mindset for Game 2 remains resolute: to turn their frustration into motivation and deliver a bounce-back performance.

This determination was evident when George William posted on his X handle: [“When the game gets tough, my love for basketball increases”] https://x.com/agasigeorge15/status/1817288694744965206?s=46. George William, who unusually finished the game without a basket, summed up the team’s sentiment: He emphasized the need for a new approach, stating, “Last game was so bad; we had the game until the last 3 minutes. At the critical moment, we forgot the game plan.”

William explained the path forward clearly: “You take the loss, you learn from it, and you come out onto the next one motivated by that loss to win the game. We need to be ready to respond.”

The Jaguars have been phenomenal in their defensive play, showing continuous improvement with each game. While frustrated by their latest losses, they remain undeterred. “We entered the postseason with an unfortunate run, but now we’re trying to put things right,” said Abubakar Kasasa. “You never want to lose, especially in the playoffs, because there is limited time to make corrections. And that’s why we need to correct this. We have to wake up focused and confident, even when it’s not going to be easy. It’s a good team we’re playing in the playoffs, but that doesn’t mean we can’t beat good teams, we have done that before, and we shall do it today”

The Jaguars’ improvement can be attributed to their head coach’s philosophy of maintaining an even-keeled approach regardless of the result. “You get better as you keep on playing,” said Sudi Ulanga.

Assistant Coach Curthbert added, “That’s what we did last time, and we have to understand we’re going into Sunday into a hostile place. It’s going to be a battle. We just have to make sure we’re at our best. I’m confident that we’ll be ready to go.”

The JT Jaguars are determined to bounce back and show their true potential against the Titans. The stakes are high, but so is their resolve.
