It was quite a spectacle at UCU Mukono as the JT Jaguars took on Our Savior BBC. While the Black Jaguars ultimately fell short, their display of resilience left a lasting impression on both fans and opponents alike.

No doubt, this was a sure win for the JT Jaguars, but what went wrong?

The Jaguars were in for a wild ride in the first quarter as Our Savior came out guns blazing! It seemed as though Our Savior had nothing to lose, especially after losing to Livingstone.

Moses Mugisha led the charge delivering an impressive performance with 26 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists.

According to the Captain Victor Bwana for the JT Jaguars,

“Our defense in the first quarter was shaky and rusty, we also lost a lot of opportunities to convert and make baskets.”

Despite the rocky start, the Black Jaguars refused to go down without a fight, they launched a resilient play in the second quarter, pushing harder to equate the energy. Benjamin Shango’s double-double performance off the bench provided a much-needed boost, as the Jaguars fought to stay in the game. Despite their efforts, Our Savior managed to maintain the lead heading into the second half.

Were Mark emerged as a key player, in the last quarter raining down three-pointers and contributing 22 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist to the team’s effort.

Although the Jaguars exhibited commendable resilience and determination, they ultimately fell short, with Our Savior clinching the victory by a narrow margin.

Speaking to coach Peter for the black Jaguars;

“We need to devise means to start strong and Maintain momentum, this has happened to all our games in the league; against KCCA, UCU and now this”

Nevertheless, valuable lessons were learned, and the team will look to regroup and bounce back stronger in their upcoming game against the Namuwongo Blazers today at YMCA
