The JT Jaguars have secured their third consecutive victory in the NBL, solidifying their presence as one of the most impressive teams to watch out for this season.
Notice that this team is among the newcomers into the league, but is already making headlines and shaking the old men.
Led by the remarkable Duncan Ian Lubwama, the Jaguars staged a remarkable comeback against the KCCA Panthers who thought they had it under control after the first half.
The game began with the Panthers holding a commanding 16-point lead by halftime seemingly poised for victory. However, the Jaguars refused to be deterred, mounting a ferocious playback in the third quarter that saw them narrow the gap in what is called a comeback. The Panthers then only managed to add 4 points in the 3rd quarter while the Jaguars raised the bar to 40 points setting the pace to Calvary.

Duncan, affectionately known as “the ankle breaker,” once again showcased his prowess on the court, delivering an exceptional performance with 17 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists. He also emerged as “man of the match” which earned him respect for his substantial contribution to the game.
During reflections on how they managed to overturn tables, “We realized we were playing to their game in the first half and so we had to change that to make them play our game, and that was what gave us the win” said Duncan

As the game entered the fourth quarter, tensions ran high as both teams traded baskets in a back-and-forth battle. It was here that Were Mark, made his mark on the game, he contributed a total of 11 points at the time the Jaguars needed it the most.
In the final minutes of the game, it was the Jaguars’ solid defense that sealed the win, holding off a late surge from the Panthers to secure a narrow 58-56 win. With their sights set on the next challenge, the Jaguars now prepare to face off against the UCU Canons in what promises to be another thrilling matchup at the Lugogo Arena tomorrow at 2:00 pm.
